Information on processing of personal data
Controller
The controller of your personal data is the University of Wrocław with its seat at pl. Uniwersytecki 1, 50-137 Wrocław, hereinafter referred to as the Controller or UWr.
Data Protection Officer (DPO)
The Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer, who can be contacted via e-mail address: IOD@uwr.edu.pl or by letter to the address: pl. Uniwersytecki 1, 50-137 Wrocław.
The DPO can be contacted on all matters concerning the processing of your personal data by the University of Wrocław and your exercise of rights related to the processing of your personal data.
Aims and legal basis of the processing
Your personal data included in the application form for Mentee are processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)) in order to implement the Mentoring Programme: participation in the recruitment of Mentee, communication (including e-mail) concerning the programme, participation in organisational and mentoring meetings with Mentor, promotion of the programme, evaluation of the programme. Provision of data is voluntary, but – to the minimum extent indicated in the registration form for the Mentoring Programme – necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected. Your personal data may also be processed on the basis of the legitimate interest of the Controller, which is, inter alia, the right to establish, assert or defend claims (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Data retention period
Your personal data related to your participation in the Mentoring Programme included in the application form will be stored until one year after the end of the edition in which you participated as a Mentee. After 12 months from the end of the edition of the programme in which you participated as a Mentee, the University of Wrocław will use only your anonymised data concerning your field of study – for promotional and reporting purposes of the programme and to inform you about future editions of the programme.
In the event that you are not selected for the programme – the data contained in the application form will be deleted by the end of the year in which recruitment took place.
You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by sending a request to the following address: abk@uwr.edu.pl .The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the processing performed on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
After withdrawal of your consent to processing, part of your data may be processed for the duration of UWr’s retention of financial, accounting and reporting records relating to the programme, for the sole purpose of fulfilling a legal obligation incumbent on the controller.
Recipients of the data
Only authorised employees or associates of the Administrator will have access to your personal data.
Your personal data included in the form will be made available by the biurokarier.uwr.edu.pl portal to Mentors who have been indicated by you in the application form as 1/2/3 choice Mentors.
The recipients of your personal data may also be entities to whom the Administrator orders the performance of specific activities, which involve the necessity of personal data processing. In order to ensure the highest possible standard of personal data protection, a personal data processing entrustment agreement will be signed with such entities.
In addition, the recipients of your personal data may be entities and institutions authorised to access them by law.
Rights in relation to processing
You have the right of access to the content of your data and, subject to applicable legislation, the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object to further processing.
If you consider that the processing of your personal data violates the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Data Protection Authority.
Other information
Decisions in your case will not be taken in an automated manner and your data will not be subject to profiling.
The data controller does not transfer data outside of Poland/EU/European Economic Area.
