Anna Szczepankiewicz

Anna Szczepankiewicz

The desire to learn how life works prompted me to choose studies at the University of Wrocław. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2018 and a master’s degree in 2020, both in genetics and experimental biology. During my studies I was a student representative which developed my communication skills and people management skills. Currently, I am a PhD student in the Department of Animal Developmental Biology, my doctoral thesis focuses on oogenesis of Heteroptera (a group of insects). Beyond my studies, I have been working in DOBROSTAN, a medical clinic, as a clinical research coordinator for two years. My job involves working with Pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca or Chiesi, laboratories such as LabCorp or Q2 Solutions and coordinating patient visits during clinical trials. Moreover, I conduct some tests myself at the site. My job allows me to use the skills I acquired during my studies and constantly expand my competences. One of the most rewarding aspects of this role is the chance to help others while also expanding my own knowledge.
